1. Pray for God’s choice to be the Club DJ Director in your church. This person may be yourself but should be someone in your church who is excited about who God is and has a love for children.

  2. Read over the ‘Club DJ Covenant to Churches’ and the ‘Club DJ Church Partnership Agreement’ as this will help you understand how we seek to help you in your ministry there, as well as give some guidelines on running Club DJ as we partner together with churches across our nation. Next, fill out the 'Club DJ Church Partnership Form', and then send it by mail or fax. Once received we will mail out the Club DJ Directors Kit to your church.
  3. Present Club DJ to your church and hand out ‘Where Do You Plug In?’ forms to those in attendance. This is an easy way for people to see where they can be involved as well as allowing them to be involved where they are gifted.

  4. Next you want to build your team and train your workers. You may want someone from Club DJ to conduct a training workshop in your church. This is highly recommended if this is your first year to run Club DJ.

  5. You will now need to decide on the Club DJ registration fee for your church. We suggest $40.00 per child which should cover the average cost of running Club DJ in your church, including the Club DJ student book, crafts, and Club DJ Catalogue awards at the end of the year.

  6. You will need to customize your Club DJ schedule for each club night as well as a club calendar for the year including weeks Club DJ will not run, such as over Christmas and Easter. (There is a Sample Schedule in the Club DJ Director’s Manual to help you with this.)

  7. Next plan a Club DJ kickoff event for registration night and invite the children to come. Use your imagination and make it flexible as children will probably be coming with their parents at different times.

  8. Once the parents have filled out the Club DJ registration forms, you can determine what number of Club DJ student books you should order for each grade. There is a Club DJ order form in the front cover of the Club DJ Director’s Manual or you can find one online at clubdj.ca.

  9. If you are going to use Club DJ craft kits you can decide what craft you would like to do and order it now. You may want to order a few extra kits as new children will likely be joining every week. If you have someone in your church that can make the craft kits you may only want to order one for a template/pattern.
